唐敖庆:中国理论化学学派的缔造者

Tang Aoqing:The Founder of the School of Chinese Theoretical Chemistry

唐敖庆是蜚声国内外的著名理论化学家。他在理论化学研究领域取得了国际领先水平的研究成果,曾荣获国家自然科学奖一等奖2次,二等奖2次.他通过举办学术讨论班、讲习班的形式培养了大批高层次理论化学人才,培育了被国际理论化学界称谓"中国学派"的中国理论化学学派。唐敖庆为吉林大学的建设和发展作出了卓越的贡献,后又成功地指导了国家自然科学基金的资助工作,有力推动了我国基础研究和应用基础研究。

As a Well-known theoretical chemist throughout the world,Tang Aoqing has achieved advanced research findings in international theoretical chemistry field,and twice obtained the National Natural Science Award Class I and ClassⅡ.A large number of high-level theoretical chemistry talents werecultivated by himthrough his academic discssing and tutorial lectures,and a school of Chinese theoretical chemistry called as'Chinese School' by the international theoretical chemistry field was also formed.As the former president of Jilin University for over 30 years,Tang Aoqing made an extraordinary contribution for the construction and development of Jilin University,and then he formulated a series of effective rules and regulations for successful instruction for the National Natural Science Fund when he acted as the first director of the State Natural Science Funds Commission,which effectively promoted the development of fundamental research and applied fundamental research for our country.
