Problems Reflected in Xian Sheng Ru Da——Memoir of Reading The Book of Songs in Study(Ⅶ)

《诗经·大雅·生民》中的达应是羍,指的是羊。从"先生如达"一语中可以透视出周人是羌氏一支,最早也是以羊为图腾的氏族。

Da（达）in The Book of Songs-DaYa-Sheng Min should be Da（羍）,which refers to sheep.From Chinese phrase Xian Sheng Ru Da one can be informed that the Chou people belong to one of the ancient Qiangzu branches which,in its earliest stage,take sheep as totem.
