摘要
肯·凯西的《飞越疯人院》以疯人院影射现代社会,并通过一系列的人物塑造和事件描写颠覆了传统的男女形象和健全/疯癫的意识形态,将矛盾的双方换了位置。他的矫枉过正意在使人们质疑存在了千百年的以二元对立为基础的意识形态和思维模式,从而进一步思考这种意识和思维模式以及由此建立的体制对于人类自由的束缚。试图从解构的角度,通过文本细读,指出肯.凯西只能在虚拟的文本中解构体制,以解构实现对现实世界的超越和对自由的追求。
Ken Kesey’s One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest uses an asylum as the epitome of modern society and describes quite a few characters and a series of events.Through changing the places of the conflicting sides,it deconstructs the traditional man and woman image,the traditional concept of sanity and insanity and hence the major part of the traditional binary opposition which is the basis of the dominant ideology.Ken Kesey’s deconstruction puts in doubt the righteousness of the dominant ideology and thinking pattern,and helps us question the ideology-based system that has greatly fettered people.Through the method of deconstruction and close reading,this thesis points out that although Ken Kesey’s Utopian deconstruction of the existing system only exists in his text,his effort opens a window for us to transcend the reality and seek freedom.
