The later poems of W.B.Yeats witness the peak of his artistic achievements.Passion is the axis around which Yeats'later poetic world spins, which has offered an elaborate interpretation on his views of philosophy and art.Passion assumes four masks—defense, joy, sublimation and wisdom, which together form a sequence of passion. The passion sequence is Yeats' personal myth in which he perfected his explorations into the essence of life/art.
