This thesis analyzes the narrative strategies in the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray with focus on the novel＇s structure,time strategies,narrative pint-of-view and how they are organized.The effort on the structure of the novel,in reality,reflects the fact that Wilde fulfills his ＂well-written＂ standard set for works of aestheticism by ＂the perfect use of the imperfect medium＂.The application of such strategies is a result of his pursuit of the combination of form and matter as well as an expression of the aestheticism theories of form of Wilde.
