Lifting the Ban and Immigration in Fengtian in Late Qing Dynasty

奉天是东北开禁前汉族移民迁入最早、聚集人口最多的地区。咸同之后的放垦主要是以官荒为主,包括奉天东边的封禁地、牧厂以及围场等。随着以上禁地的纷纷开放,移民日益增多,人口数量大大增长。

Fengtian was the place which Han immigrants moved into first,gathering the most populatious region before the Northeast lifting the ban.The reclamation was mainly offical after Xianfeng and Tongzhi,including block to the east of Fengtian,animal husbandry,plant and Paddock and so on.With the forbidding of having more open area,the immigrants increased and the population also greatly grew.
