摘要
学习动机分为内在动机和外在动机,内在动机是自主学习能力培养的决定性因素。调查发现,在使用自主学习中心学习外语过程中,学习者的外在动机占主导地位,而内在动机严重不足。因此,进行自主学习培训,应提供网络学习资源和服务的详细信息,开展学习能力培养竞赛,展示成功范例,推进教师发展。
Motivation can be categorized into intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation is assumed to be the determinant factor in fostering learner autonomy, which bears advantages over extrinsic one. This paper reports an investigation into learning motivation in the self-access center (SAC) for college English learning in a University of the provincial level. The results yielded from the survey reveal that college English learners tend to be dominated by extrinsic motivation in their learning activities in the SAC. Therefore, it is urgent to stimulate learners' intrinsic motivation so that learner autonomy can be developed in its own right.
