This paper describes the usable synchronous timing tactics made for SDH transmission system, goes deep into the application of priority list and standard SSM ＋ priority list on SDH self-healing ring and discusses in detail the synchronous state of clock in case of net failures. Through in deep analysis of technical details, the merits and demerits of the two synchronous timing tactics are summarized and methods are developed to avoid or decrease the probability of timing ring road in total net and fake synchronization.
