The reactive characteristics and kinetics have been studied for ammoniation of methyl formate to formamide. The experiments showed that the reaction process may be divided into two kinetics regions and in the main reaction region the reaction is of the second order. The relevant rate constant and reaction activation energy have been determined and the reaction rate equation has been proposed. Furthermore) the process flows for ammoniation reactions have been selected.
