"情采"可理解为真情之采,强调以真情为里的文采。从《情采》篇、《文心雕龙》、历史传承和时代文风来看,都是强调"采"字,刘勰也很难例外。刘勰是在继承的基础上变异、创新的,其进步意义在于在可能的限度里反对时尚,提出文质两重的文学思想,在一定程度上起到纠偏作用。《情采》篇依然有其重要的现实意义。

Even now On Literary Talent remains a practical and meanineful classic.
