汉译英翻译中汉语无主句主语的选择技巧

On the Skills for Selecting the Subjects of Chinese Subjectless Sentences in Chinese-English Translation

由于汉英两种语言在文化和思维方式上的差异,汉译英的困难之一是如何选择确定英译的主语。文章分析了汉语无主语句产生的原因,并结合大量的实例,论述了汉译英过程中主语选择和确定的技巧,提出采取主语的挖掘、词性转换、增补、选择、套用英语特殊句型等手段来翻译汉语无主语句。

Chinese and English languages are different in culture and ways of thinking. One of the difficulties of translation from Chinese to English is to determine the subject. This paper analyzes the causes of subjectless Chinese sentences, and discusses skills in selecting and determining subjects in Chinese sentences. Based on a large number of examples, this paper proposes that subjects can be selected and determined by excavating, conversing, selecting, adding and applying special sentence patterns of English in translating Chinese into English.
