After the October Revolution victory,the Soviet new political power faced an arduous task of national reconstruction.A series of effective measures were taken in the press realm to guarantee survival and further developments of the new regime.Reactionary newspapers and periodicals were banned,laws and decrees of censorship were issued as well.By means of the the above measures,the Soviet regime established its leadership in the press realm soon after the October Victory.Recification and reform laid a solid foundation for the propagation of Bolshevism and Socialism among the common people in Russia.
