In the image aesthetic system of the fifth generation films,The Black Cannon Incident,directed by HUANG Jian-xin,has displayed his being special.His use of color and montage have made the connection of different color sequences produce the meaning of montage.He has shown his special feature in the method of composing pictures,which can be called ＂newly formed pictures＂.In dealing with performance,he has put forward his theory of ＂ Vague Performance＂,which is neither a soft-headed performance nor a showy performance nor a actionless performance,but a deliberate neutral performance,thus providing an important performance resource for Chinese films.
