半工半农是农民家庭的最优选择吗?——对当代中国农民家庭生计的实证研究

Half-Time Farming:A Good Mode of Livelihood for Rural Chinese?

作为当代中国农民家庭主流的经济形态,半工半农历来备受争议,但现有研究对该形态优劣的讨论主要从社会政治功能的视角展开。以经济功能为视角,通过对2006年中国综合社会调查数据的实证研究,分析了半工半农家庭的经济绩效,从而得出半工半农经济形态对于农民家庭来说,是既无最好的家庭经济效益、又牺牲家庭社会效益的经济形态。

Half-time farming,although popular among rural Chinese in the past decades,has always been a con- troversal matter.Available studies are mainly focused on its political aspect.The present paper is a study of the economic aspect of this phenomenon.Based on the investigations of the economic and financial accomplishments of the half-time farming households in 2006,the paper concludes that half-time farming is both financially non-profiting and socially devastating.
