摘要
用经典精神分析学说中的心理防御机制理论,对勃拉班修的愤怒、文饰、诅咒等话语进行文本细读与心理分析,可以呈现其丰富强烈的内心冲突与心理困境,还原其处在父亲与国家元老两种身份间的分裂与挣扎,重新理解勃拉班修悲剧性死亡的原因,深化对莎士比亚《奥赛罗》悲剧性的理解。
Brabantio is a character in Othello of William Shakespeare（1601-1604）.He is a Venetian senator and father of Desdemona.Because he only appears in Act 1,critics seldom pay attention to him.This paper gives an psychoanalysis of Brabantio＇s outrage,rationalization and curse to show his inner conflicts and painfulness,furthermore it analyzes the cause of Brabantio＇s death and his tragedy and the significance of this character.
