摘要
利用蒙特卡洛方法,对不同体积NaI(Tl)探测器的探测效率进行了计算。对圣戈班(Saint-Gobain)5"×8"NaI(Tl)探测器的能量分辨及时间响应进行了测试。在14MeV氘-氚中子源照射条件下,测量模拟样(化学式:HCNO)的特征瞬发伽马谱,与国产Φ4"×4"NaI(Tl)探测器进行了比较。结果表明,圣戈班的大体积NaI(Tl)探测器具有高的探测效率、好的能量分辨及快时间分辨的特点,能够满足利用伴随粒子法测量中子激活瞬发伽马的要求。
It reports a new NaI(Tl) detector produced by Saint-Gobain.The full-energy peak efficiency has been calculated using Monte-carlo method.Furthermore,it shows excellent energy and timimg resolution.The energy resolution as low as 7.13%and 4.95%(FWHM) have been achieved with 662 keV and 4.44 MeV, respectively.Also high timing resolution(2.1 ns-FWHM) has been recorded with NaI(Tl)-PMT and BC501 -PMT detectors operating in coincidence using Am-Be source.Comparing with the nativeΦ4"×4" NaI(Tl) detector,the Saint -Gobain one is satisfied with the requirement of explosive detection.
