尼克松对华思想的演变,经历了从"反华"到"联华"的过程。在这个过程中,尼克松的对华思想一方面既受到美国国内政治舆论的左右,另一方面又受到国际政治格局变化的影响。在内在驱动与外在压力的共同驱使下,尼克松的对华思想不得不走上正视中国的轨道,这个结果既关系到尼克松个人的政治前途,又关系到美国的国家利益。因此,对尼克松对华思想演变动因的分析,可以揭示中美关系既合作又斗争的历史,也可以为近来中美两国复杂的战略性伙伴关系提供积极的参照。

Nixon′s thought to China has evolved from anti-China to uniting China.It was not only influenced by domestic political public opinion,but also affected by the change of international political pattern.Driven by the internal motivating force and external pressure,Nixon′s thought about China cannot but face up to China.The result has not be bound up with Nixon′s polical career,but had something to do with national interests of the US.As a result,to analyze the reasons for the evolution of Nixon′s thought about China could reveal the cooperation and fight in the history of Sino-U.S.relations,as well as furnish the positive reference for the recent complicated strategic Sino-U.S.relations.
