从语言变异处理手法看《尤利西斯》两译本

不同的翻译策略下,译文的风格会有很大的差异。在对待原著语言的变异现象时,《尤利西斯》两个中文译本手法截然不同:金隄译本以变异对变异,从而最大程度上保留了原著语言特色。而萧乾、文洁若译本则努力使原著的语言变异常规化,使之阅读难度降低,也更符合中国读者的阅读习惯。翻译本是促进文化交流的手段,一味的"归化"带来的通顺掩盖的是译者的"暴力"。期待译者能够用更积极的态度和方法来对待文化和语言方面的差异。

Different strategical orientations determine different representations.In Jin＇s version,the language deviations are well kept to meet the criteria of fidelity while in Xiao Wen＇s version,language deviations are normalized to achieve the aim of lowering the degree of difficulty of reading.Further consideration should be given to the standard of ＂good＂ translation and look forward to the fact that the translator can use more positive attitudes and methods to treat cultural differences.
