摘要
专门用途英语(ESP)词汇量大且专业性强,在其教学开展之初即给学生造成学习障碍,因此要实现ESP教学目的首先要解决词汇问题。本文正是基于ESP的词汇特点和其在ESP教学中基础性作用,从认知语言学的角度出发,结合教学实践探讨防震减灾类ESP词汇教学的理论及策略。
ESP vocabulary is the major difficulty for students when shifting from English for General Purposes (EGP) field to ESP field,thus deserving an especially important consideration in the matter of ESP. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of ESP vocabulary,this paper is an effort to apply Cognitive Linguistic Theories to vocabulary teaching in English for Seismic Disaster Prevention.
