通过明渠汛期试航，摸清了通航水流条件、航线、航法，探索了扩大通过能力的可能性。简要介绍三峡坝区汛期水情特点和明渠汛期通航条件，明渠汛期换推、绞滩可行、有效，其潜力有待进一步发挥。１９９８年受洪水影响，断航、碍航时间长，明渠通航船舶数量不足。对１９９８年明渠汛期的助航、限航、禁航和通航作了统计与分析。提出了修订明渠通航流量标准、补充安排试航项目、优化绞滩方案等有关明渠汛期通航的意见。

The potential of this method will be further explored. The duration of navigation suspension and hindrance in 1998 was long due to the effect of floods , so the vessels that passed through the open channel were not sufficient. Statistical analysis on navigation conditions (additional power was provided to assist ship movement, the traffic was limited or forbidden, or unimpeded) in the open channel in 1998 is conducted. Some opinions on vavigation in the open channel in high water periods are given.
