摘要 现代英语教学越来越重视超音段音位的作用。多年来,可视化语音软件无外乎一些语音识别和语音合成的分析软件。然而,美国加州BetterAccentLLC机构开发的一个软件——BetterAccentTutor是一款针对性强的超音段可视化分析系统,非常适于英语超音段可视化教学辅助软件。本文从超音段理论及英语语音教学出发,介绍了这款软件的性能,对其在实际应用中的效果进行了实证分析,并指出了运用这款软件所需解决的问题。 In contemporary ELT field great attention has been attached to suprasegmental teaching. For years visualized phonetic software is no more than a system for speech synthesis or speech analysis. However, BetterAeeent LLC, an institution in California, America, has developed a knowledge-oriented visualized system for speech analysis to suprasegmental pronunciation training. Based on the study of suprasegmental theory as well as English pronunciation teaching, this article introduces the properties of BetterAccent Tutor, analyzes its effects on the practical phonetic teaehing and suggests solutions to the problems involving the application of it.
