One Plus One is Greater Than Two:The cooperation Between the Two Sides of the Taiwan Straits in Southeast Asia

在相当长一个时期内,两岸为争夺在东南亚的存在与影响力,明争暗斗,结果是两败俱伤,最终受到伤害的是中华民族。国民党重新执政以后,推行新的大陆政策和对外政策,两岸关系转缓,从而为两岸在东南亚的合作奠定了基础。两岸在东南亚都有重要的存在与影响力,在东南亚都有共同的利益,在"一个中国"的前提下,两岸完全可以在东南亚携手合作,实现共赢。

In a very long period of time, the infighting brought about internecine in the two sides of the Taiwan Straits in order to expend their presence and influence in Southeast Asia, and ultimately, Chinese Nation became the victim of their fight. But after Chinese Nationalist Party came back into power, it＇ s implementa- tion of the new mainland policy and foreign policy improved the cross-strait relations, laid a foundation for co- operation of the two sides in southeast Asia. The two sides arc descendants of the dragon, they have important presence, influence and common interests in southeast Asia. Therefore, on the premise of the one-China princi- ple, the two sides can work together in Southeast Asia and achieve win-win situation. They need to cooperate and integrate resource in southeast Asia, and all the effort aims to achieve the maximization of profit for people on both sides and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
