In Yuyao City,small hydropower has played an important role in the construction of new countryside.This paper describes the overview of small hydropower of Yuyao City,illustrates the importance of small hydropower in the growth of local collective economy at county and village levels and in the construction of new countryside,and introduces the preferential policies of Yuyao city to support the development of small hydropower.
