The new requirement for the education of urban planning major is expounded in this paper.The deficiency of ecological education in current urban planning major is discussed,and the ways to strengthen ecology knowledge for the urban planning major in local universities are proposed.The prospects of teaching reform of Urban Planning in Local Universities are put forward in the end.
