Red Cross Guatemala and Design without Borders have created a shelter that can be converted into a permanent house.- By converting the emergency shelter into a permanent house, the residents can build on the structure, resources and materials they already have, rather than moving or waiting for a new house, says industrial designer Luis Mata Calle.
