Function of the Particles mu^(33)/mu^(33)ta^(33) and ta^(33) in the Yi Language

本文运用描写和实证方法,通过对语言实例的阐释,归纳出彝语辅助词mu^(33)(mu^(33)ta^(33))、ta^(33)的语法特点和功能,揭示彝语语法的一些特点。

Though a closed set, the particles in the Yi language is a subsystem which plays a significant role in the entire grammatical system. Particles are employed in expressing various grammatical meanings and relations, which constitutes one of the important analytic devices and a distinctive characteristic of the Yi grammar. Through descriptive and empirical devices, this paper intends to conduct an examination of the examples from actual language use, sum up the grammatical features and functions of the particles mu^33（mu^33ta^33） and ta^33, and reveal some distinctive features of the Yi grammar.
