The Chinese specification of JC 476-1998 Expansive Agents for Concrete was put into effect on January 1, 1999. The paper discusses favorable influence of the specification on development and application of expansive agents for concrete in China, compares the specification with similar ones of other countries and indicates what should be perfected in the specification.
