美国城市化进程对中国城市发展的启示

American urbanization and its enlightenment to China's urban development

针对城市化进程中的社会问题,采用对比分析的方法,从城市的本质、功能及城市化意义等角度分析了美国城市化进程中出现的城市功能失衡、中心城市衰落、种族歧视加剧等社会问题,提出政府应该针对不同城市的地域、经济发展等特点建立正确的城市空间发展政策,积极引导城市向合理的方向发展。

From the perspective of the nature and functions of cities,as well as the significance of urbanization, this paper makes a detailed analysis of the social problems emerging from the process of American urbanization—the loss of balance in city functions,the downfall of the central cities,and the perpetuation of racial discrimination. Our governments may make right policies on urban space development according to the geographical and economical characteristics of different cities,thus lead cities to their reasonable development.
