Fresh Chinese medicine is fresh herb and fresh insect medicine which is used under the direct of traditional Chinese medicine theory.Applying fresh Chinese medicine to treat disease is one of important characters of traditional Chinese medicine.The review explains the history of using fresh Chinese medicine,active ingredient research of fresh Chinese medicine,pharmacological effect research,preservation method,and clinical application of fresh Chinese medicine.It provides basis for clinical using it and doing further research.
