The Role of Japan as Forerunner of Emerging Issues

"有限的地球、老龄化社会、知识爆炸"是21世纪的范式,日本已经先于其他国家经历了这些情况。在日本的能源消费中,家庭、办公室、运输等"日常生活"占了55%,原材料、汽车、家电等"物质制造"占了45%。我们应该在削减余地较大的"日常生活"领域中大幅度减排CO_2,创造出善待环境、对应老龄化的更为舒适的城市。这就是日本作为"问题先进国"的作用。

In the 21st century,we human beings are facing a new paradigm;the earth＇ s limited resources,the aging of society and the explosion of intelligence.Japan has experienced these problems ahead of the rest of the world.55% of Japan＇s energy consumption occurs in ＂daily life＂ activities;i.e.household,commercial and transportation sectors. The remaining 45%of consumption occurs in the manufacturing sectors.Let＇ s reduce CO_2 emissions in daily life,which can reduce in large quantities.And let＇ s make many comfortable towns all over the world where environmental problems are solved and elderly persons can live a lively life.That is the role of Japan as a forerunner of emerging issues.
