周作人何以走上民族罪人的道路,这是许多人关心的大题目。数十年来,学术界人们一直试图对此做出科学的解答,但是,由于历史的复杂性和认识的多样性,至今,各种解答并未达到让人满意的程度,不同的甚至截然相反的意见还是仍然存在,尚有待进一步深入考辨。"五四"之后的周作人,在为人处世诸多方面,逐渐滑向了自私自利、极端个人主义的泥潭。"七七"事变后,面对亡国灭种的民族危机,周作人不愿追随国民政府南迁,其自外于国家存亡大局的"超政府"个人主义行为,终于驱使他投入了日本侵略者的怀抱,以至沦为了中华民族的千古罪人。

It is a hot topic among people about how ZHOU Zuo-ren began to turn against Chinese people.For the past decades,a lot of people have tried to find the answer to this question.However,due to the complexity and variety of history,none of these answers has been satisfactory,and there are even completely contradictory opinions on this issue.After the May Fourth Movement,ZHOU Zuo-ren began to be addicted to selfishness and individualism in many aspects.After the July Seventh Incident,faced by the national crisis,he was reluctant to move to the South along with the Kuomingtang,and he turned to the invading Japanese,which made him the criminal of Chinese people.
