Mortal Qu Yuan’s Persona

屈原的人格核心是自恋,他一生都处在自恋与忠君("崇父情结")的人格矛盾之中。他太缺乏"人格面具",而把"美"的理想只系于楚王一人身上,结果成了官僚体制的牺牲品。屈原的死是人格矛盾的悲剧。两千多年前的屈原,提供给我们许多有益的精神财富。他不是神,不是圣;他是人,也有人格弱点。用精神分析读屈原作品,读出了一个人间屈原。

Narcissism is Qu Yuan’s inner personality.He struggles all his life in the conflict of narcissism and filial obedience.In great need of 'persona',he takes the Emperor of Chu as the sole target for realization of his ideal of 'perfection',consequently he became a sacrificial lamb of bureaucracy.Qu Yuan’s death is a tragedy of his personality conflicts.For two thousand years,Qu Yuan has offered us with great instructive and spiritual value.He is not a holy man or saint——just a human being,with weakness in personality.In this article,psychoanalysis is employed to interpret Qu Yuan’s works,in which the mortal image of Qu Yuan is portrayed.
