“石化”新议

Critical Thinking on Fossilization

语言"石化"现象是外语学习中的一个常见问题,在二语习得者的学习过程中无法消除,也不可避免。自Selinker于1972年提出这个概念后,众多学者专家分析"石化"产生的原因,提出克服"石化"的应对策略,寄希望于能够打破"石化"的局面,帮助学习者朝着目的语的方向发展。本文则认为既然语言学习中"石化"不可避免,不如肯定"石化"。

Fossilization is a common phenomenon learners meet in the process of language learning,which is inevitable and cannot be removed.Since fossilization was put forward in 1972 by Selinker,many other scholars have begun to analyze the reasons why it happens and suggested some ways to solve the problem in the hope of assisting language learners to reach a high level in the target language.In contrast,the present paper acts in a diametrically opposite way,arguing that fossilization should be accepted and even be praised since it permanently exists.
