Study on the Female Images by Zhou Fang

从形式上看,艺术形象好像取决于艺术家的独立创作和个性化的表现,但其实质却是特定社会文化的产物,因而女性形象通常是反映社会审美趣味变化的极佳窗口。文章以晚唐画家周昉笔下的女性形象为中心,探讨唐代社会文化和审美意趣对唐代女性艺术形象的影响。

It seems that the artistic images depend on the independent creation and stylistic expression of an artist.In fact the images are the products of the social culture.Female body is one of the best windows to reflect the change of aesthetic taste of the society.In this paper the artistic images by Zhou Fang are chosen to learn the influences of the culture and aesthetics of Tang Dynasty on artistic construction.
