摘要
春柳社在日本轰动一时,但回国后,春柳演剧却历尽坎坷,并以失败告终。春柳演剧以中国现代戏剧的先导者自期,它初步开拓了中国早期话剧的发展道路,为中国现代戏剧做出了多方面的重要贡献。
The members of Chunliu Troupe returned to China after the Revolution of 1911. They founded the New Play Society on 15 January 1912 and performed in different places afterwards. From 12 April 1914 to October 1915, the New Play Society performed under the name of Chunliu Theatre, with the goal of leading the Chinese modern drama and a spirit of innovation and seriousness. With their productions of a unique style, the New Play Society made great contributions to modern drama in China.
