企业家们的公民意识正在觉醒。比起以前的简单慈善,他们越来越多地进行公共话语表达,争取自由。

At the end of 2010,Qian Yunhui, former city council head of a village near Yueqing City,was killed in a tragic car accident.In response and at the suggestion of CDH venture capital partner Wang Gongquan,scholar Yu Jianrong and commentator Xiao Shu led a civic investigation team to the city to examine the matter.During the Spring Festival this year,the long dormant Angel investor Xue Manzi suddenly launched a high profile campaign to combat the trafficking of children.Around this same time, C-trip founder Liang Jianzhang, in additional to presenting his self made documentary discussing China's one child policy,also established his own blog dedicated to matters concerning China's population problem. The idea of civic duty is slowly taking root among the business elite of China.Not limiting themselves to simple charity,they are more and more concerning themselves with speaking openly about problems,as well as working to protect and earn better treatment for disadvantaged groups.As Wang Gongquan commented,'The problem of social inequality is getting more and more serious.And so more and more people are discussing this problem because they have discovered it is not something that can be solved just by ignoring it.It is something we must face,discuss and do something about.Eventually people will no longer hesitate and begin doing w hat is inline with their conscience and their ideas about social responsibility.'
