A new highly efficient broad band UV absorber,Tinosorb FD was introduced for application in detergents.By simply washing of fabrics under usual conditions,it effectiviely blocks the harmful UV radiation from damaging human skin under garments,especially in summer time.The UV protection factor(UPF)for evaluating the UV protection efficacy of fabrics increased drastically with increase of washing cycles.Outstanding levelling properties on washed fabrics can be achieved for better UV protection in various kinds of detergents such as conventional & compact powders and liquid detergents.
