民族精神是一个民族赖以生存和发展的精神支撑,是民族得以维系和凝聚的精神纽带。伟大的事业需要伟大的精神,伟大的精神铸就伟大的事业。党的十一届三中全会后,中国进入了改革开放和社会主义现代化建设的新时期,中国共产党对中华民族精神进行了丰富和发展,主要是大力提倡爱国主义精神、艰苦奋斗精神、自主创新精神和开放包容精神。对民族精神进行系统总结与归纳,不断赋予其新的内涵,这对于发展中国特色社会主义,实现中华民族的伟大复兴具有重大意义。

As a moral kingpin on which a nation relies for survival and development,national spirit is the spiritual bond that ensures the continuity and cohesion of a nation.While a great cause needs a great spirit,a great spirit creates a great cause.After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC when China entered the new period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization.In the new period,the CPC enriched and developed the Chinese national spirit,such as to advocate something strongly the spirit of patriotism,the spirit of arduous struggle,the spirit of independent innovation,the spirit of openness and tolerance,summarized and generalized systematically national spirit and constantly gave new meaning to the national spirit,which are of great significance for developing socialism with Chinese characteristics and achieving the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.
