Designing and building Chinese-style gardens in China has undergone a long history,so has traditional Chinese landscape paintings.From the development path of literati landscape and painting,the paper elaborates on the impact of what exhibits in terms of aesthetics in the traditional landscape paintings on the aesthetic criteria and values of the gardening activities in ancient times,hence promoting the development of garden art.
