The Analysis of the Current Situation of Event English Education in Vocational Colleges in Suzhou

苏州会展经济的兴起将成为苏州城市经济腾飞的重要引擎,新形势对会展人才尤其是会展英语人才的培养提出了更高的要求。针对目前苏州地区高职院校会展英语教学中普遍存在的重视程度不够、师资力量薄弱、合适教材缺乏和教学模式陈旧等问题,提出了相应的对策与建议。

The development of event economy in Suzhou,which is being accelerated by 2010 Shanghai Expo,has been regarded as a significant engine of the tremendous growth of the local economy.Event talents,especially event English talents are in great need under this socioeconomic background.This article demonstrates the current problems of as well as corresponding solutions to event English cultivation in higher vocational colleges in Suzhou.
