Carnivalization and Western Biography

巴赫金的"狂欢化"理论对传记写作具有一定的借鉴意义。它以平等和民主为基本精神,打破等级和地位的限制,对某些权威的、高等的、精神性的人或事物进行"降格"。传记写作也可以通过"脱冕"、"相对化"、"物质—肉体化"等降格方式,使传主从高高在上的位置中降落下来,回归地面,显示出人性的本来面目,从一个方面实现追求真实性的传记理想。

Mikhail Bakhtin＇s theory of ＂carnivalization＂ has some referential significance to biography writing.With the spirit of equality and democracy,it allows people to breakthrough the limits of class and status,degrading some authoritative,higher,and spiritual people and things.During the writing of biography,with the degrading forms of ＂decrowning＂,＂relativization＂,＂materialization and embodiment＂,the biographer can degrade the subjects from higher positions,return them to the ground,and expose their true colors as human beings,which will help us to realize the biographical ideal of seeking truth from one aspect.
