蔡锷是近代倡导军国民教育的肇始者。他的思想源于中国近代的民族灾难,是近代知识分子以军事救国思想的继承和发展,也是留学期间受日本军国主义影响的结果。他在对我国传统柔性文化进行深刻反省后,强烈要求改革传统教育,发扬尚武进取思想,改变国人的贱武观念,加强体育锻炼,增强民众体质,以尚武为美德,以军国民为救国思想。这使人们把军国民教育同国家的存亡、兴衰联系起来,深深地影响了人们的救国取向。

Cai-E is the founder of military education thought.His thought derived from the modern Chinese national catastrophe,the inheritance and development of modern military salvation of intellectuals＇ thoughts,and the results of the impact of militarism of Japan.After profoundly reflected our flexible traditional culture,he strongly advised to reform traditional education,promoting the martial progressive thinking,change people＇s concept that pen was superior to the sword,sports training,in an effort to enhance people＇s physique,and proposed the warrior spirit and the physique improvement of people.This has helped people to the martial spirit of national survival,the rise and fall,a profound influence on the orientation of the nation,the people.
