城市，是人类文明最高抱负的真切表现。然而，城市在不断展现其做人成就的同时，城市病也变得日益凉心，甚至表现出一种与人类文明进程完全背道而驰的颓势。狭窄的空间、混乱的交通、障碍物、噪声、污染，以及危险的事故大大降低了城市居民的生存条件，这与人类建造城市的初衷相违背，使人类城市的发展走进一个恶性循环的怪圈。在这样的情况下，我们比以往任伺时刻都需要有人站出来为我们竖起未来城市发展的旗帜。

In the book Humanized City,the author pays attention to the connections between human life and urban design.Jan Gehl considers that one perfect city can affect citizens’thinking,sensation and behavior. Humanized city means lifeful,safe,continuable and healthy urban space. Humanized City will enlighten our ideas,especially for civil planners in developing country.
