摘要
"信"(faithfulness)原则在商务英语翻译中具有举足轻重的作用。文章把商务英语翻译中的常见错误分为不懂企业误译,不懂业务误译,不懂语法误译,信息扭曲误译,原文引起误译以及乱译和错译。文章提出了商务英语翻译研究的一种新工具,即运用表征内容理论进行研究。文章揭示出增强商务英语翻译的"信"的根本途径是商务实践性认知,主要包括商务信函、商务广告、商品说明书的特点及翻译要求、商标与商号的翻译方法及翻译要求,尤其是商务术语翻译要求等。
The faithfulness principle plays an important role in Business English translation.This paper classifies those common mistakes in Business English translation into such kinds as non-understanding enterprises,non-understanding business transaction,non-understanding grammar,information being distorted,false translation caused by the originals,random translation and mistranslation.This paper puts forward a new instrument of Business English translation,namely,to study translation from the perspective of Characterization Content Theory.It discloses the fundamental way to enhance faithfulness of Business English translation is practical business cognition,including features and translation requirements of business letters,commercial advertisements,product manuals,translation methods and requirements of trade marks and firms,especially the translations requirements of business terms interpretation.
