摘要 英语教学过程是师生双边活动的过程,要求师生在课堂上互相配合,共同完成语言交际活动和教学过程。巧妙设问则是教师引导学生积极思考、培养学生认知能力、分析能力和交际能力的重要手段。本文旨在探索英语课堂提问设计的策略,探索以学生为主体的新型教学模式。 New Criticism which emerged in the 1910s after the First World War and quickly disappeared in the 1950s,with a short lifespan of 40 years old,is a unique critic approach in literature.Ambiguity and irony are important terms in New Criticism.Ambiguity is an important field in study of language and yet leaves much to develop;the latter is fundamental to the nature of poetry and helps create tension in the poetry.In this paper,five poems of Wordsworth's are to be analyzed in regard of their ambiguity and irony in new critic view by 'close reading'.By a New Critic approach which focuses on the text itself rather than other factors——culture,history,and sociology,we could deeply appreciate the power of language.
