Qingming Festival

中国传统的清明节大约始于周朝。清明节是我国最重要的祭祀节日。距今已有二千五百多年的历史。清明节在仲春与暮春之交。2006年5月20日，该民俗节日经国务院批准列入第一批国家级文化遗产名录。

The traditional Chinese Qingming Festival dates back to Zhou Dynasty. As the most important day of sacrifice in China, it has a history of over 2500 years. Qingming Festival falls on between the middle and late spring. Qingming Festival was included into the list of the first batch of national cultural heritages by the State Council on May 20th, 2006.
