本文论述了长江及中小河流货运的重要性、现状及对策。长江应充分发挥分节顶推优势，降低运价。中小河流应尽快进行船型技术改造，船型发展方向应是高长宽比船型及机动驳顶推，同时要加大科技兴航宣传力度和尽力提高船舶操纵性。

The importance, current situation and countermeasure of cargo hauling in the Yanglze River and other medium and small rivers have been discussed in this poper, It is suggested that integrated push in the Yangtze River should be developed for playing its advantage fully and reducing the shipping cost. Technical reform of ship form in other medium and small rivers should be taken as soon as possible. The development tendency of shiP form is high length breadth ratio ship form and motor barge pushing. At the same time, the promoting of shepping with science and technology should be strengthened and the maneuverability of ship should he best improved.
