临高语第二调在海口石山方言中的促化

Abruptation of the Second Tone in Shishan Dialect of Haikou

海口石山方言属于侗台语族临高语东部方言群。石山方言最大的特点是临高语第2调的字单念及在后字位置时发生促化,韵尾也变为相应的-p-、t-、k和-尾,但在前字位置则不促化,且有连读变调。从1892年英国人庄延龄的记录来看,第2调的促化在当时已经部分发生了。

The Shishan dialect of Haikou（Hainan Island） is one of the eastern dialects of Lingao or Be language that affiliates to the Kam-Tai languages.The intriguing feature of the dialect is that it shifts the second tone of Be into an abrupt tone in citation form or in the last syllable,thus the finals of the original lax tone change to-p,-t,-k or-.But it retains a lax tone in the first syllable and has sandhi.According to the data recorded by E.H.Parker in 1892,this abruptation had already taken place then.
