Pan Wang Festival is an important festival of the Yao people.The different and colorful festival customs throughout the Yao villages have been an important form of intangible cultural heritage.The protection and development of Yao villages＇Pan Wang Festival will contribute to the inheritance and development of ethnic traditional culture,promote local economic prosperity,social progress for the ethnic minorities,and facilitate the building of socialist countryside.The significance and strategies of protecting the Yao villages＇Pan Wang Festival as a folk intangible cultural heritage are also discussed based on the practical data of Xinhe Village,Xiling Country,Gongcheng County.
