高校外语专业英美文学课程教学方法创新探析

An Exploration into Innovative Teaching Methods in British and American Literature Course for University English Majors

英美文学课是高校英语专业高年级学生的专业必修课程,对养成英语专业学生的专业和人文素养具有不可替代的作用。近年来,该课程在教学实践过程中出现了被淡化的趋势。改革和创新英美文学课程的传统教学模式是解决这一问题的关键。英美文学课程的教学改革与创新主要体现在三个层面:思想和观念的创新、模式和内容的创新、方法和手段的创新。其中,思想和观念是创新的前提,模式和内容是创新的核心,方法、手段是创新的保障。

British and American literature is a specialized required course for English major students,which plays an irreplaceable role in developing students＇ professional literature skills.However,this course has become less popular in teaching practice.The key to this problem is to reform and innovate the traditional teaching model.Such reform and innovation should include innovation in the teachers＇ perception of the course,innovation in their teaching patterns and contents,and innovation in teaching methods and techniques.These three levels are respectively the premise,core and guarantee of innovation in the English literature course.
